Meet the AMA College Student Support Team

Say hello to your team

The AMA College student support team is here to enhance the experience of our international students.

There is a range of support available at AMA College, from finding somewhere to live, or figuring out how you can find work in Australia.

Our support services start long before you land in beautiful Perth. We believe that the initial experiences of international students are extremely important, laying the foundation of their success in Australia. Our team also help to organise a variety of activities throughout the year for students to experience more of Australian culture.

AMA College is also able to provide information on important issues such mental health and social isolation.

Peigi Hinton

Student Support Manager

Peigi’s career within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector commenced in the early 1990’s, when Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) were initially accredited and established through State Accreditation Bodies.
With a solid management background and a strong interest in legislation, Peigi’s career took a big leap into the compliance and management side of RTOs.
She has held several high-level management roles within RTOs across Australia, liaising with both Federal and State Government Departments and medium to large corporate business organisations.
Peigi has been integral in developing numerous large scale training programs for the mining and oil and gas sector, and has twice been a finalist in the State/Territory Training Award submissions for the Indigenous training programs she managed.
She has extensive experience in managing teams in the workplace, from recruitment through to personal and team development.
Peigi has established and worked in an International College in Perth, so she has extensive experience in assisting international students to adapt to Australian life.

Nadaria Lima

Student Contact Officer

Nadaria grew up in Brazil and lived and worked in Ireland for a year prior to coming to Perth in 2012.
She has many years of experience in the international education industry – organising partnerships with international schools; checking documents to ensure compliance; working in student services, and coordinating social activities for international students.
She really enjoys working across different areas, as it keeps her motivated to learn something new all the time.
As a previous international student herself, she truly understands the challenges that our students will face, so she will be a great support because she gets to help and learn from people from all over the world. Nadaria speaks Portuguese, Spanish and English.
