International Student Orientation

Day 1 – Compulsory (8am-2pm)
Attendance on Day 1 of the orientation program is compulsory as you will:
  • Meet your key contacts at the College;
  • Receive information about living in Perth and in the City of Joondalup;
  • Receive information about our expectations of you as a student at AMA College;
  • Find out what AMA College offers to support students while studying at AMA College;
  • Go through the AMA College Student Handbook with us so we can answer any questions you may have;
  • Receive your timetable;
  • Have your photo taken for your AMA College Student ID Card;
  • Be provided with a transport concession card (Smart Rider) form that gives you a discount on all train, bus and ferry fares.
Day – Optional (8am-12pm or 1pm-5pm)
Attendance on Day 2 is optional and includes a free tour of the City of Joondalup. The tour of Joondalup includes:
  • Joondalup city tour;
  • Joondalup library;
  • Edith Cowan University and ECU library;
  • Bus and train station;
  • Joondalup Health Campus;
  • Lakeside shopping centre;
  • Neil Hawkins Park.
Day 3 - Optional (8am-12pm or 1pm-5pm)
Attendance on Day 3 is optional and includes a free tour of the City of Perth and key tourist locations around Perth. The tour of Perth and surrounds includes:
  • Perth City and Kings Park;
  • Fremantle and surrounding beaches;
  • Hillarys boat harbour.

We recommend taking the tour if you have never been to Perth before.
It is also a good chance to meet other students and make friends in an informal setting.
